Johnny Nicholas has spent a lifetime soaking up the flavor of such vibrant music scenes as Chicago, Southwest Louisiana and Texas (which he’s called home now for nearly 40 years). His music is full-spectrum Americana — a rich gumbo of not just blues, but cajun, swing, folk, and barrelhouse rock ’n’ roll. John has recently re-issued his 1977 LP recorded at The Blind Pig A2, Too Many Bad Habits, as a two record vinyl set along with a 40 page book of photos and stories.

Tino G began his musical career playing drums with John Lee Hooker while in high school in Detroit. He adds an underground boogie-edge to his singer/songwriter vibe. He’s been lighting up local stages for years as part of the Howling Diablos as well as his own work with Tino G’s Dumpster Machine and his Funky D Records/Studios label.

This is an after party for the Making Vinyl Convention taking place in Downtown Detroit. Music is going to start around 10pm. There is no cover but the hat will be passed.

If you love the blues, swing and R&B, then this is THE show for you. Come on out for a late night Monday jam session – no, you are not too old to stay up till midnight!!
