Johnny Spark & the Boys is a “High Energy Rock & Roll” band from Detroit with individual attitude and personality. Call it Pure Raw Energy, Funk, Punk, Tribal, Rock and Roll, or call it “Whatever” or just label it “Johnny Spark & the Boys.” If there was a way to describe Johnny Spark & the Boys in one word it would be “WOW.”
Johnny Spark & the Boys is a union of legendary Detroit Bands of the 80’s & 90’s including, Johnny Spark & the Boys, and Mirror Records recording artists the Projections, The Wall Clocks, Stark Road Fellas, and Arson Club. These bands have worked with signature Detroit groups including Toby Red, Model Citizen, Ray Gunn, the Master the late Johnny Angelos (Reputations & Torpedo’s) and national acts including the The Rockets, The Romantics, Frijid Pink, Detroit, Mitch Ryder, Kinsey Report, Sonic Rendezvous, and RATT
Past band records have been selling on E-Bay, as “a must have for collectors of high energy power pop/punk sound of the early 80’s” and “influential band of today’s Detroit sound.”
The Pounders: It’s all about songs, and The Pounders deliver music with a melody and a beat. Dick Coulson, John Christy, Michael Perantoni and Jim Amann lived through many musical incarnations, including record contracts with A&M and Polygram, before uniting as The Pounders. Together, they bring an unmistakable sound that can only be described as “The Pounders”.
The Pounders sound is both rhythmic and melodic, with powerful, hook-laden original songs. The Pounders are a musical experience, blending get-to-the-point song craft, rich harmonies and a tight rhythmic pulse.

BLACKMAIL is a HARD ROCK band from Detroit with a funk infested, bluesy, soulful edge. Featuring the amazing frontman/vocalist Mayaasa, the atomic rockin bluesy guitar of Mike Brooks, the ultra heavy bottom of bassist Bygg El, & the thundering drums of Eric Childress ll, Blackmail combines influences from Van Halen, Prince, Living Colour , Lenny Kravitz , Metallica, JB & more into their own unique style. The band has been rocking the motor city with electrifying live shows for 10 years, received local & national press & airplay & have put out 3 cd’s, Ghetto Rock, The Hard Groove, & their latest, Sonic Rendezvous.
