Dave Toennies is one of the principal songwriters of Border Patrol, a lyrically driven folk-rock group from Detroit, Michigan and Windsor, Ontario. Blending elements of traditional bluegrass and folk with punk and indie expression, they feature vocal harmonies and surprisingly upbeat melodies about our impending doom and the monotonies of every day life and love in this modern age.
Whether political or personal, Carmel Liburdi‘s performances are full of energy and soul! Her style is fun, whimsical, and has a unique edge that makes you think.
Her music is influenced by the world around her, as well as a wide variety of genres from jazz to punk. Her passion for story telling comes across in her clever and imaginative lyrics. Carmel’s songs allow both her and the listener to dance along the thin line between comedy and tragedy.
MORI delivers punchy, hook-laden alternative rock/pop you can (and should) scream along to in the car. Fronted by lead singer, songwriter & guitarist Mori Einsidler, the band took shape in 2015 with the addition of Jake Goldin on guitar, Adam Downer on bass and vocals, and Stephen Ranellone on drums. MORI crafts songs that ache and burst, recalling the ear candy of indie-pop duo Tegan & Sara packed with the voltage of alt-rock overlords Paramore and Brand New.
Dizzy Bats is a New York City Pop Punk band started in the summer of 2011. Influenced by punk outfits out of the late 90s and early 2000s, they use power chords over heavily-picked basslines and infectious melodies as a vehicle for fun, energetic, Power Pop. Dizzy Bats boast an honest reflection on times past and the everyday angst that comes with being a twentysomething.
Feral Ground is the sound of change in music, and Detroit’s roots run deep in the music that’s created. This is no limits Hip Hop. Welcome to the movement.
