Stone Clover was founded in 2009 by Paul Brady on a bet over a bottle of whiskey. The new band with a bottle of whiskey in hand set off to conquer the world, or at least the nearest pub. Stone Clover spins high energy antics into the traditional world of Irish music. Not to be labeled as merely an Irish band the group draws influence from many different styles of music including, punk, metal, jazz, and folk. They are best known for their original songs, but are just as comfortable playing traditional songs with their own arrangements. The band is loved by kids of all ages, 1-100. Pull up a pint and be ready for some fun.

Craig Brown Band: PJ’s Lager House bartender and Third Man Records recording artist Craig Brown brings his country-tinged songs to us once more. If you haven’t seen Craig’s band yet, maybe you’ve seen him with the Terrible Twos. Or the Mahonies. Or Liquor Store. Or — you get the idea. Not to be missed!

Willa Rae & The Minor Arcana is brain child of Willa Rae Adamo, a Detroit dweller with an old soul. A singer-songwriter at her core, Willa spends her time crafting songs that reflect the beautiful disaster that is the human condition, telling stories of love gone bad, and reckoning with the ghosts of her own past. If you’re lost, if you’re lonely, if you’re in awe of the world around you – listen in.

In the winter of 2015 the Minor Arcana got its start as an acoustic trio. Since then they have grown into a loose collective of like-minded musicians with sundry influences; everything from country to grunge, folk to punk guides the Minor Arcana’s sound. A rotating cast of musicians make for a powerful and joyful live experience. Willa Rae and the Minor Arcana is a burgeoning electric local gem you do not want to miss.

Lac La Belle is an acoustic duo from Detroit, Michigan, made up of multi-instrumentalists and songwriters Jennie Knaggs & Nick Schillace. Influenced by early Americana, the music of Lac La Belle seamlessly blends history with the present, to create stories that capture the human experience. Lac La Belle offer it with expertise, via accordion, mandolin, banjo, ukulele, harmonizing vocals, and fingerpicking resonator guitar.

What sets this acoustic duo apart is their utilization of their varied experiences; Schillace has a separate career performing his instrumental guitar pieces, and he wrote the first academic work on the recordings of John Fahey; Knaggs has history with New Music compositions and improvisations, including her vocal work in Matthew Barney’s film “River of Fundament”. With separate experiences learning folk and blues in Appalachia, American roots binds the duo’s compositions with a heavy thread.

With the release of their third album, “A Friend Too Long”, (October 2014), Lac La Belle elaborate upon their cohesive duo, with the addition of upright bass, pump organ, piano, percussion and strings. Written in a secluded cabin in Michigan’s upper peninsula, and recorded in their Detroit home during the snowiest winter on record, “A Friend Too Long” animates the lives of fictional characters grappling with the tensions between the urban and the rural, the individual and the community, economic decay and the land of plenty.

The group has completed six tours of the mid-west, south and east, and has completed two European tours in 2012, 2013, with a third slated for 2015. Their performance styles vary to the venue, often including their arrangements of old time, 1920’s western swing, Dixieland, folk and blues tunes.
