Fri, Apr 7, 2017 @ 9:00 pm to 2:00am
Josh Morningstar: Pain . Heartache. Loss. Addiction. Jail. Redemption.
Each one of these words are things very familar to Josh Morningstar. Born and raised in the small, sleepy town of Funkstown, MD, Morningstar has lived a life of a man twice his age. A recovering heroin addict now 3+ years clean, Morningstar found his savior in REAL country music. Studying the greats before him, Morningstar majored in Traditional Country Music 101 and is now poised to be one of the genre’s brightest stars.
2014 saw Morningstar performing over 230 shows, touring briefly with David Allen Coe, Jesse Keith Whitley, Billy Don Burns, and others. 2015 saw him tour extensively with Shooter Jennings and the Waymores Outlaws.
The 44 Territories are an exciting new Americana band from Detroit, Michigan. For the past 15 years, the members of The 44 Territories have been creating some of the best music out of the midwest in a variety of bands. The 44 Territories brings them together to create great, original roots rock music.
Later this year, The 44 Territories – Dan McKernan (Desolation Angels), John “Wolf” Abel (Tantric, Kenny Olsen, The Infatuations), Erik Pelto (Desolation Angels), Josh Weddle and Jason Bowes (Jeremy Porter and the Tucos, Fidrych) – will be releasing their debut effort. Recorded with Producer John Smerek (The Deadstring Brothers, Detroit Cobras, Kenny Tudrick), it shows the wide range of alt. country by-way-of Detroit sounds.
In the meantime, The 44 Territories will continue to be one of the most energetic live acts around, with regional dates.

Kenny Kens & the Brown Bottle Boys: Honky Tonk music in the traditional vein, honoring the great musicians that have inspired us. Not that bro country in a sea shell necklace!
