Saajtak (Post-punk/Free jazz)
Lyrans (Abstract/Experimental electronic)
Red Robe (Psych)

Saajtak is your local glitch-electronic, free jazz, post-punk quartet.

Each member an avid composer, improviser, and performer in his own right, Saajtak has created a repertoire that channels both long epic forms and short frenetic noise pieces, the catharsis of tragic opera, the energy of punk rock, and the excitement of odd meter to convey nuance of musical motion and emotional expression. Through almost ritualistic collaborative sessions, Saajtak is constantly developing musical environments that defy genre and invigorate listeners.

Saajtak was formed in late 2014 by vocalist Alex Koi, electronic artist Simon Alexander-Adams, and drummer Jon Taylor, all longtime collaborators and avid sonic explorers. With a shared affinity for free improvisation and sound art, the trio collectively created a repertoire of spontaneous and energetic compositions that were expanded and perfected with the later addition of fellow auditory adventurer, bassist Ben Willis. Individually, the members of Saajtak have performed with My Brightest Diamond, Brian Ritchie of the Violent Femmes, Wadada Leo Smith, Dave Liebman, Karl Berger, Ingrid Sertso, Michael Formanek, Jaribu Shahid, the members of Wolf Eyes, and more.

Lyrans: Consonant, spontaneous, premeditated collaboration centered around percussion and analog electronics & occasional collaborators.

Red Robe: Hipster Scum /// Goth Punk… Gunk.
